High-efficiency filters are divided into: with partition and without partition.
HEPA Filters are mainly used to capture particles below 0.5um and various suspended matters. It adopts ultrafine glass fiber paper as filter material, offset paper, aluminum film and other materials as dividing plate, and is glued with aluminum alloy of wooden frame. Each unit has been tested by Nano-flame method, featuring high filtration efficiency, low resistance and large dust capacity.
It's structure can be divided into: High-efficiency filter with partition, high-efficiency filter without partition, high-efficiency filter with large air volume, ultra-high-efficiency filter, etc. One kind is ultra-high-efficiency filter, which can be used as a high-efficiency filter. One kind of filter is ultra-high efficiency filter, which can purify 99.9995%.
Some filters can be cleaned and recycled. These filters are usually made of heavier housings and certain fabrics or synthetic filter materials. However, many of the specialized air filters used in modern industry and transportation are made of very durable materials, and filters with “cardboard or paper” housings are not washable and are truly disposable filters. HEPA-grade filters are usually not recyclable because of the special filter media used and the responsibility involved.
If the air filter is a cartridge or flat plate and uses a metal or plastic housing, then most are recyclable. They can withstand several rounds of cleaning. There are also air filters that are not easily cleaned, and the filters used in HVAC (Clean Room) and paint shops are not very robust and can't withstand some of the handling procedures required for filter recycling.
